Youth Softball Program

  

The Lincoln Park District will be holding Youth Softball this year once again.

  

When: Tuesday evenings starting: JUNE 5, 2012 through AUGUST  7, 2012, along with a picnic being held on AUGUST 14, 2012. 

  

Times are:

6:00pm to 7:00pm (ages 5 - 7)

7:00pm to 8:00pm (ages 8 - 10)

8:00pm to 9:00pm (ages 11 - 14)

Some kids may be asked to play in a different time frame depending on their skill level &/or size.

  

Pre-Register: 

Fill out the Softball Registration Form(1 per child)(be sure to list your shirt size) and mail to #32 McDougall Drive along with your $20 fee to play. Shirts will be given to registrants (for the 1st two age groups) while supplies last based on the order the registrations are received.  Leftover shirts from previous years are available for late registrants.

  

Charge for Playing: There is a $20 ($25 if recieved after May 15th) charge for each child to play ball. Each child is required to have their own glove and they must wear shoes.

Inclement Weather:

Cancellations will be posted on the park website. We will not hold softball if any of the following conditions occur: Heavy rain, puddles on the infield, lightning, or temperature of 95 degrees or above as of 4:30 pm day of softball.

  

Picnic Information:

The picnic will be held on Tuesday, August 14, 2012 starting at 6:00 pm.  Meal is provided for everyone.  All participants and their parents/guardians are welcome.

  

Shirts:

Early participants, for the 1st two age groups, receive a shirt this year while supplies last.

 Lincoln Parks

There are four public parks in the City of Lincoln:  Lincoln Park, Millennium Park and Pt. Weigel Park.  Please note the Rules & Regulations page for hours and other information relating to park usage. 

 

About the Parks & Equipment Usage

We invite residents and guests to enjoy the parks of Lincoln.  Questions regarding the parks, facility rental, or using any park equipment (tetherballs, basketballs, horseshoes, etc.) can be summited via the Contact Us page or with any Park District board member.

  

Shelters & Gazebo

Shelters in the parks are free for use.  No reservations are necessary and usage is on a first-come, first-served basis.

  

Lincoln Park Building Rental

The building in Lincoln Park is available for rent by contacting the City of Lincoln at (701) 258-7969.  The building offers a full kitchen, bathroom, tables and chairs. It is heated in the winter.  Please review the attached policies for shelter use.  Lincoln Park Shelter Use Rules

  

Recreational Opportunities

Each summer, from approximately early-June to early-August, the Park District sponsors Youth Softball.  Information on the recreational softball program is made available in May.

Private Sanano Karate classes are held Monday and Wednesday evenings in the Lincoln Park Shelter.  For information on classes, please contact Carol Linn.

  

Frisbee Golf Course Map

A frisbee golf course has been established in Millennium Park.  Signage is in the process of being installed and an electronic course map should soon be available.
